I had a very nice collection of Playboy Mags from 1969 to 1990
My father collected them they were all his orginally bought
perfect condition he saved
I was given them which i also saved..
Along with those i was given a stack of Turf Magazine from
the 1970's, stack containing about 40..perfect condition as well.
One day i had a small yard sale and put both the magazines out for sale
i see a man come up and he was thumbing through the Playboys..
I went to speak with him, and said.. yeah thats a nice collection of Playboy
He said yes it is.. Then he suddenly made me a bid on Turf..
"I'll give you 200.00 for that stack of Turf".. my jaw dropped and i kinda stuttered
the words, "its a deal".. his comment was.. "I can see beautiful women
everywhere, but you can't find legends in horsebetting anymore"
I seriously thought Playboy would win over Turf.. i was wrong lol

Avec ceux-là, on m'a donné une pile de Turf Magazine de
années 1970, pile contenant environ 40 pièces..parfait état également.
Un jour, j'ai organisé un petit vide-grenier et j'ai mis les deux magazines en vente.
Je vois un homme arriver et il feuilletait les Playboys.
Je suis allé lui parler et je lui ai dit... ouais, c'est une belle collection de Playboy
Il a dit oui, c'est vrai. Puis il m'a soudainement fait une offre sur Turf.
"Je te donnerai 200,00 pour cette pile de Turf".. ma mâchoire est tombée et j'ai un peu bégayé
les mots "c'est un marché".. son commentaire était... "Je peux voir de belles femmes
partout, mais on ne trouve plus de légendes dans les paris hippiques"
Je pensais sérieusement que Playboy gagnerait Turf... j'avais tort mdr
