I spent an evening watching my friend's husband play poker last weekend. He places 2 or 3 nights a week and he's had some astonishing wins. I was really getting into it, but I don't want to impose and ask him to tutor me. Can anyone please recommend a good online resource for newbies to learn? I've spent an afternoon looking on Google but I could do with recommendations on something newbie-friendly. Or maybe there'a a kindle book?

J'ai passé une soirée à regarder le mari de mon amie jouer au poker le week-end dernier. Il se place 2 ou 3 soirs par semaine et il a remporté des victoires étonnantes. Je m'y mettais vraiment, mais je ne veux pas m'imposer et lui demander de me donner des cours particuliers. Quelqu'un peut-il recommander une bonne ressource en ligne pour que les débutants puissent apprendre ? J'ai passé un après-midi à chercher sur Google, mais je pourrais faire des recommandations sur quelque chose de convivial pour les débutants. Ou peut-être qu'il y a un livre Kindle ?

There is a great resource here on LPB - Complete Beginners guide to online poker and Poker Training online. That should keep you busy for a while.
Also check out ohmesohrny's poker blog HERE - he has some amazing tips to help players on their way to being a great/better player. You can also find some helpful training videos HERE

Welcome to the forums by the way and if you stick with it here, youll learn a good bit.
If you want to speed up your learning curve, start posting some hand son the fourms and get feedback. Everyone here is more than willing to lend their advice. Best thing to do is play and start learning that way.
If you really want to learn, send me a pm and maybe we can get a chat going on Skype. I used to coach a bit and actually do miss it. Id be willing to help out for free just to get back in the poker atmosphere.
Being in the US I really cant play like I used to so this would be a cool way to get in the game again.

Au fait, bienvenue sur les forums et si vous vous y tenez ici, vous en apprendrez beaucoup.
Si vous souhaitez accélérer votre courbe d'apprentissage, commencez à publier quelques informations sur les fourms et obtenez des commentaires. Tout le monde ici est plus que disposé à donner ses conseils. La meilleure chose à faire est de jouer et de commencer à apprendre de cette façon.
Si vous voulez vraiment apprendre, envoyez-moi un MP et peut-être pourrons-nous discuter sur Skype. J’avais l’habitude d’entraîner un peu et ça me manque en fait. Je serais prêt à aider gratuitement juste pour me remettre dans l'ambiance du poker.
Étant aux États-Unis, je ne peux vraiment plus jouer comme avant, donc ce serait une bonne façon de revenir dans le jeu.
