  • Very cool!!!Thanks Zuga!!!! smiley

  • OK, well I guess I'll be the first. As I am setting here thinking of what I should write, I start remembering all the different times that I have won. I think about the time I hit all the worlds with aliens at Out of this World. About how many times I hit all the Cleopatra's on Caesar, and about the time I hit all the Oil wells, on Texas Tycoon. I also remember the randoms I hit on Gold Beard, and on Out of the World. And I realize, wow I've had a good run now and then and that's why I still play as often as I do. But what was the best experience and winning over these last few years? Believe it or not the win that meant the most to me  and made me feel the best: was the day that I came home started my computer, opened up the link for LCB and found that I had won the contest for the funnest joke. And it wasn't the free chip that excited me the most. It was that I had truly made some friends here and they voted for me. And that my Friends were more important to me then any other win I have ever had at any casino. And I would like to take this chance to once more say THANKS YOU VERY MUCH!

  • Ahhh mamrone you touched me so much when i read your post. It is so true, how important friends are and to know that the people here are awesome! That is hard to find.

You are a wonderful, kind, good hearted person. LCB would not be the same without you.

  • My best experience was finding an honest no nonsense blog that does not tolerate nonsense and foul language. I consider the people here friends! The truly greatest experience as far as casinos was winning my first withdrawal from Vegas Regal and actually getting the money! They are really the best!!!

  • Christmas Eve two years ago
I decided to host the holidays for the first time....parents, siblings, neice, gf, trim the tree, cook the dinner etc.
I had a water leak under the house and an $800 hydro bill. Result? Zero groceries, zero presents, monstrously behind in everything...and can't even pay my rent and bills.
My mother, on Christmas Eve, takes me out to the casino and gives me $50 and tells me to smile.
We play pennies, minimum bet....$50 only goes so far, lol.
What do I hit, on my brokest saddest Christmas Eve? $2500 progressive from a 25 cent spin.
I hand my mom $1250, wish her a merry Christmas, and go shopping that night for gifts and groceries, pay my late rent and my water bill smiley

  • Great story..........the magical time of Christmas!! I love it!
  • Does our experiences need to be online or land based?

  • Either one smiley

  • This has gotten me thinking about so many of my trips to Vegas, it's been hard to decide which one to share, it seems each one has it's own personality and story that goes with it. After careful consideration, I have chosen this one as the one to share.

Several years ago, I was going to Vegas for a convention. I am a smoker and could not wait to land so that I could have a cigarette. The minute I was able to get off the plan I went to the slots in the Air port as it was the only place we could smoke. As i sat in front of the slot machine, I was told I had to play to stay. So, I whipped out a twenty dollar bill (it was a quarter machine) and started to play (slowly so I could make it last). Well, I won the jackpot! It was only $650.00 but I was flying. What a way to start my trip to Vegas! Finally, I was totally convinced this was going to be my lucky trip. We went back to the Hotel and got ready to go to a show that we had bought tickets for ahead of time, but I could not wait to get back to the slots. It was the next morning before I had some free time to play and play was all I wanted to do. We stayed at the Venetian and they we just bring out a new slot machine. Elvis and boy I have always been a big Elvis fan. This was going to be my moment I knew it. We started playing at 10am and played and played and yes played. At 1am the next morning I could play no more. I had gone thru the $650 I had won at the airport as well as $1,000 I had brought with for the whole trip. Instead of being happy that I had won the $650 and leave it at that, I got greedy and lost everthing. The reason I choose this story to share with you is simple. Sometimes, we aren't happy enough with what we have and always try to get more, and it just doesn't work that way!

  • I hope it doesn't backfire on me.  What a streak of luck, even though small in comparison with some other LCB member's winnings, cashing out on that free chip was great!  I was able to make some much needed purchasing and bill-paying.  But the streak multiplied last time I checked  my bank account and found that, one week later, they deposited the same amount in my bank-again!

Why?  I could speculate all day.  I'm hoping for two things.  First is they can't take out the ACH they already put in.  Second, is, dare I say it...that I'm scheduled somehow to receive that amount every week!  Can you imagine?

The gift that keeps on giving!

  • My best and most remebered,  I walked into a local "bar".  Put a 5.00 bill in a poker machine.  As it keep rolling and  hitting, I never chaned my bet of 8 points. these are nickel slots.  After about 30 mins. of play I cahed out for 250.00.  Whewwwwwwww, wsh that would happen more often smiley

  • lol, I've a somewhat similar one..I was backpacking across country and was staying at a local shelter..went to the pub next door and put a twenty in a quarter machine and pulled out $2500..backpacking was so much easier, lol

  • very interesting blogs so far.... keep 'em coming cheesy

  • One week to go guys and gals wink  Free Ipod nano is waiting ...

  • My favourite casino story?
So..I was playing this online casino contest at this forum called LCB, and I won this FABulous ipod nano
    grin

    kiddig kidding
lol...but I'd persoanlly love to hear MORE stories

  • Well, both my husband and I work. As much as we try, we usually only have enough on our checks to cover bills and food. I feel really great when I can take a $5 and turn it into something where we can have the extras that we might not have had before. The most memorable is when I went to the local casino here, put a $1 in a machine and ended up with around $100. That makes those special items that much more special.

  • One thing I like about landbased cainos? It's the ability to talk to a complete and utter stranger with an automatic opening and a commonilty. You can chat up someone sitting beside you, wishthem luck, cheer their wins..and it's not weird

  • I will try to keep this as short as possible.  I have always gambled at online casino and bingo.  I have won my fair share and also lost.  It was the winter of 2008.  Christmas was fast approaching.  My husband and I always count on a bonus from his job to buy our boys Christmas gifts.  The year before it was $1,000.00.  Bonuses were usually given at there annual Thanksgiving lunch.  That year no bonus or mention of a bonus was announced or given.  I had already plotted my Black Friday shopping trip for my sons Christmas.  When my husband came home without a bonus I was devastated.    For the rest of December my mine was on how am I going to give my kids a Christmas.

On the other side of town my younger sister was going through the same thing as me.  She had recently remarried and they had a blended family which included 5 kids.  Her husband and her had no gifts either.  They had fallen prey to the payday loan.  Every two weeks they would both have to pay on their loans and write another check until payday.  This went on for months.  It seemed they would never get out of the heck they created.

My Dad who is much worse off than either my sister or myself called me.  He said he knew my sister and I were on bad times.  I agreed but said there was nothing I could do and it was out of my control.  He was planning on coming down around Christmas to see us.  He lives a state away so I was happy he was coming but worried how I would feed my extra house guest.  My sister and I would talk for weeks in December crying on each other's shoulders about how bad we had it.  She told me to pray.  I was at my bottom and I said it would take a miracle to help us.  She agreed and we both still felt helpless.

My Dad was to come on December 26th.  On December 22nd my husband woke me up early in the morning and said your Dad is on his way and he is almost here.  I knew something must be wrong.  He wouldn't come early for no reason.

I rush out of bed and dress.  The next thing I know my Dad pulls in my driveway with my sister right behind him in her pajamas.  He had stopped by her house on the way to mine.  My Dad worked the Sharpe factory.  I asked why he came early and he said to give me a gift.  He gave me a box full of sharpie markers.  I couldn't understand why my Dad and sister were both grinning ear to ear.

On the way down to visit my Dad's Mom (that was to be his first stop).  He prayed and asked God to help me and my sister.  He was passing Tunica and got off and headed to the casino.  He took a cash advance of $200.00 off of his credit card and said anything he won he would give to me and my sister.  He told himself if he was unlucky he wouldn't mention it to us.  He walked into the casino and pulled out the first $100 bill.  To his amazement he hit on every machine he touched.  People were walking up to him telling him that he must have learned the secret to hitting the machines......his answer was I said I would give it all away.  They all looked at him shocked.  He hit on every machine he touched and was scared the casino might think something was up.  This had never happened to him before.  He was only at the casino 45 minutes.  He still had the other $100 in his pocket.

I had no ideal any of this had taken place.  So when I opened the marker box I was happy for markers.  Sharpies are expensive and you can always use one.  When I looked underneath the markers there was 30 hundred dollar bills and some change.  I just cried.  I told my Dad I couldn't take it.  I thought he had sold something or cashed out a life insurance policy or something.  My Dad did not have this kind of money just laying around.  He told me what happened.  He said the reason there was loose change in the box also was because he had made a promise to the Lord that if he helped us he would give it all to us.  He wanted to make sure he lived up to his side of his prayer.  He even gave the $100 he had in his pocket when he left the casino.  In all he won $6000.00.  He split it with me and my sister.  He gave us a card and said the only thing I ask is that you give 10% back to the Lord.  I tried to give it to him but he wouldn't take it.  I remembered a neighbor down the road who probably was going through rough times.

I was so happy to go down to her house.  She was really shocked to see me.  We were not close friends or anything.  She welcomed me in.  I started telling her my story and I had the $300.00 in my hand and she just kept shaking her head no and tears streamed down her face.  I started crying too and told her yes, you have to take this money because it came from the Lord.  She was overwhelmed.  She could now provide Christmas dinner for her daughters and grand kids.  It was the best feeling I ever had.

My sister was able to pay off all of her and her husbands payday advances, get their Christmas for their kids and catch up on some bills.  We were able to buy our kids Christmas as well, get our bank caught up, buy groceries and pay our shut off notices on our utilities.  It was a bad winter for both of our families.  When my Dad left I tried to give him some money but he wouldn't take it.  He was broke.  He even charged his gas to get back home but he had made a promise and kept it.

I will never forget the look on my Father's face when he was able to help my family.  We thought it was going to be the worse Christmas ever and I know that miracles do happen.  It happened to my family that year and to the two families my sister and I helped.  It felt wonderful.  I have won gambling but this feeling was better than any win/jackpot I had ever won.  It let me know that God does look out for you and there are unselfish people in this world.  I still to this day wonder how my Dad was able to give away the biggest amount he ever won.  He was rewarded in February the next year when he won over 12,000.00 at the casinos.  So I guess you always get what you give.  It made me feel so good when he was paid back.  It also took some of my guilt away that I had when he gave us all of the money he won.

  • bonusround...that is  beautiful...ah yes the power of prayer and how the good Lord works in mysterious ways.

  • I agree with Bingocrazy...what a beautiful story and thanks so much for sharing...
    Bonus...you are such a sweetheart!

I enjoy reading everyone's blogs and they are so great!

Wish you guys tons of luck and please keep them coming.

  • bonusround: that is a heart warming story if I ever heard one! God is always there if we bother to ask! He normally waits until the last minute but He will always show up. Your family received more then money for Christmas you received to true meaning of Christmas, and exprienced the true Joy of giving to the ones we love. I am really Happy for you!! Sometimes we need to fall to appreciate what it feels like to get up.

  • There's still few more days left .... you better hurry up guys wink

    cheers
    Zuga

  • bonusround,

what a nice story and a wonderful dad you have.
I know the feeling when you need help badly and there's a savior out there to save you.  I remembered that one time, I  went to a casino, my car was out of gas and I said I would pump it when I left the casino.  I forgot about it and lost everything that day, I did not bring any credit card with me also bc I was afraid to use it all for the casino.  So, When I left the casino and went to a nearby gas station, started asking people for some changes  shocked shocked shocked I know it's embarassing, but that's the only way for me to get some gas to drive home.  I spent about 1hr there and had total of $1.35  shocked shocked , lol.  It was very early morning, cold, rainy winter day also, then this lady gave me $20 bill and told me to take the whole thing, even thou I told her I would go to the cashier to change the bill and give her something back, but she refused and kept telling me to take the whole $20 bill or she'd be mad and wouldnt give me nothing, lol.  God blessed her, I held $20 bill on my hand, but I felt like I had $2000 that day.  cool

  • I love the Christmas stories. It always seems like that is when the miracles happen. Thats the beauty of Christmas!

Taaa i so relate to the gas story......i have rode home on fumes!!

  • wow TaaaDaaaaa that story really hit home with me. Many years ago I was living in a marriage from Hell and afraid to leave. Until one day I took the biggest gamble of all. I bet my Life, I had no money, no training, no job, but four kids and could not take it any more. I started at to bottom, and I mean bottom. I left everything I had behind, and as I was standing in front of a grocery store on a pay phone in the middle of winter, I looked up and promised myself I would never ever be at the bottom again. it didn't happen overnight, but five years later I owned a 5000sq ft house, a new car, (Lincoln) and had furniture and TVs everything I had walked away from, only this time it was MINE all mine. How did I do it, I refused to take a nine to five job and took a sales job oring on commision only, and yes that was a big gamble for me but I rolled to dice with my life and I won. I could hold my head up and I didn't need anyone else to do it. I hadn't thought about that in years but when I read your story it all came back to me.

  • I will try to keep this as short as possible.

    LOL! Yeah........Right

JK bonusround    Very good story. Thanx 4 sharing.

  • I truly enjoyed reading everyone's  posts in this section, but must say i am also very disappointed that not more people shared a story. I know we all have a story to tell and I feel that Zuga really put a wonderful prize up for us. This Ipod is not cheep and I would love to win it for my granddaughter you really wants one and I can not afford to buy it, but I wish some more or you would post a story so Zuga puts more contests out for us. Let's all show our appreciation and share a story with the rest of us. Come on guys it's easy! If you're on this site you gamble, so share!!!!!!!! Thanks Mamrone

  • Yes ty to Zuga , this is something that my daughter also wants.........

  • Yes, I am also grateful for this fantastic contest!!!!  If I were to win my oldest son would enjoy this for his upcoming Birthday.  Thanks LCB and Zuga for a great contest.  smiley smiley smiley

  • yes, bonusroundplease and tamaroa, we all have kids in our life who would love this wonderful gift! I enjoyed both your stories, but I can not believe that no one else has a special person in their life that would love this gift as well! i looked it up on the web and this ipod is selling for 150.00 I know everyone on this blog would have a story for a 150.00 free chip at their favorate casino. I would think that everyone who has a screenshot on this blog would have a story to tell. come on guys share with us your loses and your wins, I would love to know your secret to winning. What has made this blog special to me is getting to know everyone and the only way to do that is reading the stories of your life. I know for a fact the reason I come to this blog and not any others is because, the stories make everyone a real person and not just typed word on a page. Christmas will be here before you know it, Who would you give this gift to???????????? See I knew it, we all know someone.  God bless and keep all of you!!!!!! Your friend in word, Mamrone

  • Well I will share a story, but I don't think it will top the ones I've read here.

On Christmas Eve about five years ago I went to a local casino for a few hours.  I had lost my ID there a few days ago and checked with the lost and found who did not have it either.  I played for a few hours always nickels and pennies.  I sat down at my one of my favorite nickel machines called Lucky Seals.  Lucky Seals was set up with many other machines in a rectangle around a car that could be one.  Well I was betting 9 lines times 2 coins and hit the jackpot and won $2300!  I couldn't take my prize home with me because I had no ID!  I was told they would hold it for 30 days and could return when I had the proper Identification.  A few days later the person who found my ID actually mailed it back to me and I was able to go to the casino and collect my winnings.

It was a great Xmas present and couldn't have worked out better being that after all the Christmas spending was done I knew I had funds waiting for me.  This was during a not so happy time in my life which made life a lot happier for me and reminded me that good things do happen.

A few weeks later I went back, sat at Lucky Seals and hit the $2300 jackpot again!

I haven't seen that game since especially now I live somewhere different..if you ever do see it I suggest you try a few spins and maybe you'll end up just as lucky.

  • allgood I think that's a wonderful story!! see I knew we had it in us so come on who's next??????

  • ZUGA I know you must be very disappointed in the little number of people who posted, I tired to help you out. But, I was wondering WHO if anyone WON, or do you feel there wasn't enough responses?
