Even as a non winner, I still feel good about the holiday cheer I was able to do and so should everyone one who attempted to give back this year.  Reading other entries has given me ideas for the future, knowing that every little bit counts to make a difference in someone elses life. Thank you very much. the same can be said to everyone who entered.

It's incredible how in life people always do want to better themselves but doing things for other can bring rewards all round. That's exactly how it is with what I do. It was about trying something new and my reward from that is the people I meet/friends I gain as well as knowing I have helped some people out.

I think it's similar to the way that as a kid people want as many presents as possible and hate getting socks for xmas. Yet as people get older, giving is much more rewarding and even just getting a pair of socks in return is appreciated (Mine seem to go missing or get holes in so I love receiving socks at xmas these days ).

Like I put before, the main thing is letting the goodwill holiday season continue in the new year. Even little things matter such as gambling £10 less 1 month and using that cash to take someone for a meal or help a worthy organisation or having a clear out of cupboards and giving food that won't be used to people who will use it right away.

From what everyone wrote in their entries, i'm sure all the LCB members will be doing many good deeds throughout 2015 and by time xmas comes round again at the end of the year, everyone will be able to say they have made the most of the year and made a difference

Thank you Chocolateman, I am honored that you would think I deserve your winnings. When I think about the concept of this giveaway I see the opportunity to read what other individuals did and know it doesnt have to be a once a year act. Infact my post was based on something my community has done in the past during other holidays aswell. If we all look at the year in a whole I bet there are small things we all do to make a difference to someone, whether its watching a friends dogs when they go out of town, or adding an extra five dollars to a school field trip just incase another students parents couldnt afford to pay that time. There is a stigma attached to people who gamble,  that they are selfish and waste money. I think this shows that the second anyone of us decided to share our stories it spun a more positive reflection and now a month later is still generating positive feed back.

Thank you LCB, for the wonderful contest. I think random acts of kindness are important year round, but I think we tend to focus on them more during the holidays, because we correlate family and holidays.. Which makes us think of ppl who dont have that. My feelings anyway. It was so amazing to see all of the heartfelt things that people did for one another.. And I'm extremely proud to be a part of a community with people so thoughtful as all of you.
