Tony brought up an interesting point in his recent post.
He wrote about the (honest) need to have some help in limiting play so our humanity does not get the better of us when we gamble. Truly, that is THE down fall of gambling. It isn't so much bad luck. Frankly, I am a believer that bad luck can be evened out by money management. The down fall are things like: playing too long, chasing a loss, etc.
So, here is what I do at land based casinos that really works: I take two mini lock boxes with me. These are about the size of a paper back mystery novel that you can buy them for about $12 at any office supply store. They come with TWO keys. Leave one key at HOME. While gaming, put some winnings in one of the boxes, lock it, and FLUSH the key down the toilet. Do this same thing with box #2. (Or as many boxes as you want to take!)
You see the point? The only way to open it is at home...away from the casino. This method assures you that you'll have some measure of cash at the end of your trip.
