A man came walking out of a casino on the strip, another man approached him and asked him if he had some spare change, the man reached in and pulled some money out and went to hand it to him, when suddenly he was grabbed and tossed into a vehicle, the vehicle drove away and he was taken to a motel room where he was bound, gagged and threatened by a woman and a man. He had to up his debit card with the PIN, which they went and got the money, then another couple went into the the motel room got his room key at the casino he was staying, went to that hotel room and robbed his room, also taking all his jewelry from his possesion. He was later released and was able to call police. The first and second couple were caught on tape outside the casino and also entering his room where the man was staying. All and all there were 5 people involved.
I so many many times have handed out money and my spare change to people that have asked and it never came across my mind that i could be kidnapped and robbed, always thinking it is just someone down on their luck and needing a handout.
Should this make you have a second thought about helping those that do ask, steering clear of them?
