News stoires hitting the papers today about a 9 year old girl who decided to talk about her school dinners.
Martha Payne from Scotland started a blog a little over two months ago about her school dinners. She took pictures and rated the food based on the following:
Food-o-meter
Mouthfuls
Courses
Health Rating
Price
Pieces of hair
For a 9 year old, it's a pretty amazing blog I have to say. You can find it by searching for "neverseconds".
She has raised more than £45,000 for Marys Meals (a global feeding project). The blog has had almost 4 million hits (almost 2 million today). Children from all over the world are sending pictures of their meals with the same ratings as Martha.
Through the media, her school got wind of her blog and banned her from taking photographs of the food or even taking a camera into school. This decision is now reported to have been reversed and she can continue her blog and raising cash for charity.
If she was my daughter, I'd be so proud of her. What a clever idea. Search in google and check it out for yourself.
