Hi,
I've been thinking about this for a long time now and thought it was about time I asked around to see if anybody else has similar experience... Up to now I have kept telling myself it's just the luck of the draw, bla bla.. but .. gulp .. here goes
Sky Vegas was the first on-line casino I played at. I claimed the £10 N/D/B and played Blackjack - Low Stakes, basic strategy(WOO), until cashing out a not-unreasonable amount for an evenings play with a £10 bonus. I have played at land casinos before this but stayed away from on-line because, as a software developer myself, I could not help but think it was just far, far too easy for a casino game to cheat, when running on a computer...
Anyway, in the following weeks I deposited at Sky Vegas a few times, small amounts each time (£10-£20), again playing Blackjack and also Power Blackjack (I love that game! Does anybody know another casino which has it?), and lost dreadfully on every ocassion. I watched the dealer flip over no less than SEVEN 4+ card 21s in a row one session and four blackjacks in six hands another time... when my luck finally changed, I was amazed to see in the cashier that I now had 'net deposits' for my debit card, that is to say, I had now played back every penny I won with that N/D/B to start with, and having done so, had now magically managed to win again.
Just a co-incidence I thought, but the pattern has now repeated.. three times! Each time I clear my net deposits, I lose terribly every session. Then, like a switch, I find I am winning again, and come withdrawal time, I ALWAYS have net deposits showing in the casino.
I'm now planning to ask for my detailed play logs as the webpage history shows only win/lose, but I also felt quite often that it just "felt" rigged, that is to say, the dealer would show 4/5/6 and almost never bust, showing a 10, dealer ALWAYS has another 10... raise your bets, dealer has blackjack, lower your bets, you get blackjack.. twice in a row(lol) ...
I know it sounds like mad conspiracy and begs the big question, if it felt so rigged, why am I still playing there? Well, I have actually taken a break from their site twice for this very reason, but eventually decided to give them another try after remembering how well I did that very first time I played .. plus, I love the power blackjack, and best of all, the instant withdrawals - when your winning, you can drop £5 in from moneybookers, withdraw £30 back to moneybookers and then go play at another casino that wouldn't allow just £5 ... a tempting advantage when your on the back end of the month and low rolling!
Once I receive my play logs from Sky I intend to do some analysis and will post the results. I estimate I have probably played in the region of 10,000 hands. Would this be enough to indicate if anything is amiss? If anybody else DOES have similar feelings regarding Sky's blackjack, please post here, I'd love to hear about it.. and sincere apologies for the conspiracy theory wackjob element of this post, I know it's been said a thousand times about a million places, but I really think it is noticable here... !
Quelqu'un joue-t-il au Sky Vegas Blackjack/Power BJ... ?
